Lions Club of Old Goa along with Lions International Dist 317B Participated in the 11th Road Safety awareness Drive in association with Director of Transport Goa

Lions Club of Old Goa along with Lions International Dist 317B Participated in the 11th Road Safety awareness Drive in association with Director of Transport Goa and Smitha Patil theatre arts ,Mumba. The awareness drive was conducted at Junction opposite BOM Jesus Church Main Road, Old Goa .
The Programme started by welcome Speech by President of Lion Club of Old Goa Lion Daniel Kurian . The Guest were welcomed by Flower Bouquets. North Goa Zilla Parishad president Siddesh Naik was Chief Guest, 1st VDG PMJF lion Erl Britto ,RC MJF Lion Gajanan Golatkar , Project Chairperson MJF Lion Sunil Mevada , Inspector RTO Anthony Dsa and Shivanand Pednekar from Director of Transport (North Goa) were also present .
On this Occasion a wonderful Kit on Awareness on Traffic Rules and Safety was presented by Smitha Patil Theatre Group , Mumbai . As the Skit was taking place their was lot of Crowd who were eager to look as to what was happening . It was very well appreciated by the crowd which included many Tourists who were on their visit to Old Goa . The Skit was very well appreciated by the Crowd.
As Part of Road Safety Week LC Old Goa conducted activity by providing Helmets which were handed over to Motorcycle Pilots of Old Goa and Karmali Railway Station at the Hands of the Chief Guest Siddesh Naik and Traffic Officials. Total 7 Helmets were handed over . Motorcycle Pilots association Thanked Lions Club of Old Goa for providing the Helmets .
Chief Guest North Goa Zilla Parishad President Siddesh Nail spoke on the Importance on the Road Safety and how important it to for every Individual to follow and obey the Rules . He also Appreciated the Artists who were part of the skit from Smitha Patil Theatre of Arts, Mumbai for their wonderfull Presentation of the Skit .
On Behalf of Director of Transport Inspector Pednekar spoke on the ocassion. He Emphasized that We all know the Rules but we try to avoid it . He mentioned about every day min 2 persons loose their life due to Road Accidents in Goa .
Refreshment and Snacks was distributed to all participants and crowd present on the occasion . President of Lions Club of Marcel Gajanan Parab gave the vote of Thanks .
