“Do not play with the lives of the youth. You have already played with the lives of the students by promising laptops but they never came. When the internet came they promised free data, what came of it?” he said.

“Over the last ten years that the BJP is ruling at the centre and in the state one of the major issues that has been affecting the citizenry is that of employment. One of the major planks of the Modi 2014 elections was that of jobs and employment. He had said that he would give so many crores of jobs to each section of society,” he said.

“But you are all aware of what has happened since then — never mind creating or bringing more jobs, even the jobs that people had have vanished and gone away. Small businesses have had to shut down. All we have had is advertising, publicity and the big businessmen have had to fill their pockets,” he added.

“Through the twin shocks of notebandi and covid management– he has killed the small and micro industry and because of the policies during Covid more than 20 crore people lost their jobs. The real job creators are the micro industries, but they were destroyed by the twin shocks of demonetization and covid management while the people in power they made money on oxygen, on medicines, no relief was offered to the small sections,” he said.

“Not only are you not giving jobs but you are also making a fool of the youth. I wish to tell the chief minister, you are saying that people will need one to two years experience to get government jobs, but you haven’t given them any jobs, where will they get the experience from?” he said.

“This government is only for picnics and festivals and events. Only to show that something, but the reality is hollow,” he said.

On the issue of the staff selection commission, Bhike said that it was another scam in the making. “Today there are systems whereby the moment a written test is taken, the answers and the amount of marks each student has scored is made available. But instead, we have a system where the students’ papers are taken inside and some ghotala is done and those who are undeserving are given high marks and those who are really deserving are given low marks,” Bhike said.

“If you cannot manage, let us know, we will show you how it is to be done,” he said.
