To commemorate the Founder’s Day of Whispering Palms Beach Resort Goa, we are installing a bronze bust of Late Mr. Puneet Bagrodia, sculpted by the famous artist Mr. Sudip Roy.
Mr. Puneet Bagrodia returned to India in the year 1991, after completing his MBA from Boston University.
He took over the 68 room Whispering Palms Beach Resort, Goa in the year 1992 and soon expanded it to a 106 rooms property. Later he added another hotel at Jaipur. Thus he established the brand, Whispering Palms Hotels.
He left us for his heavenly abode at quite an early age of 48 after a prolonged illness.
Inspite of and during his illness, it was his tireless efforts to provide excellent services and personalised attention to the guest’s needs, home like food and to have a memorable stay.
Puneet was extremely fond of children. He started the West Bengal branch of the international organisation, Make-A-Wish Foundation. The aim of this body was to fullfil the dreams and wishes of terminally ill children. On one such instance, a 10 year old kid, who had never flown in an aircraft, wanted to sit in the cockpit on the seat of the pilot. A pilot’s dress was made in his size and he was given that experience!
Henceforth, 19th Nov will be always celebrated as the Founder’s Day.
