Hands appointment orders to aspiring youths

The central Government as well as the state Governments all over the country have launched recruitment drives in Government sector to provide employment opportunities to youths there by securing their future in the country stated the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi who virtually addressed the Rojgar Melava organized by the Government of Goa at Durbar Hall Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula today.


The Prime Minister said the central Government had provided crores of rupees as financial assistance to Goa Government to undertake various infrastructure developmental projects in Goa. The upcoming International Airport at Mopa would be inaugurated soon, he added.


The Prime Minister complimented Goa Government’s endeavor to recruit youth in the Police department to strengthen law and order thereby securing safety of people in the State. Goa Government’s drive to increase the manpower will help to provide fair and transparent administration in the State. He congratulated the recipient of employment opportunities and advised them to work with dedication and commitment to the society.


The Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant said that his Government is fair and transparent and works on principle of Na Khaunga Na khane Dunga.

The Rojgar Melava (Job Fair) was organized by the Government with the theme Naya Bharat, Naye Avsar, Nayi Samruddhi.


He reiterated Government seriousness to provide employment to youth. This move of the Government he said was planned by tie-up with various companies and various Government Departments. The organization of such a job fair in the State is for the first of its kind wherein thousands of youth have been brought for extending them employment opportunities together.


The Chief Minister Govt is serious about dealing with the employment issue of the youth and aims to provide employment opportunities to aspiring youths so that nobody remains unemployed. There will be around 2 lakh job opportunities in the hospitality sector in the next five year, he said and appealed to the youths to acquire adequate skills to grab opportunities. He also congratulated the recipient of employment opportunities and advised them to discharge their duties honestly and sincerely.


Minister for Water Resources Shri Subhash Shirodkar while addressing said this fair is unique and first of its kind and golden day in history of Goa and it’s also an opportunity for youth in the state. This initiative of the Government he said has an objective to make our youth self-reliant.


The WRD Minister appealed to youth who received the appointment orders to adhere to the values of honesty and dedication, while serving in the administration. He complimented Chief Minister for his tireless efforts to work for making the State self-reliant ie: Swayampurn Goa.


The Government headed by the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant is transparent and no influence in recruitment will be tolerated. He said any act of influence or bribery if brought to the notice of the Government would be taken seriously, he remarked. The Minister congratulated the newly appointed youth who will enter into service carrier and urged them to serve people and nation at large.


Appointment orders to 1250 aspiring youth were issued on this occasion.


Minister for Agriculture Shri Ravi Naik, Minister for PWD Shri Nilesh Cabral, Minister for Labour & Employment; Shri Atanasio Monserrate, MLA Premendra Shet, BJP Party President Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Secretaries to Government; Adm. Fire & Emergency Services, Shri Ajit Kamat, Director Dept. Agriculture Shri Nevil Alphonso, Secretaries and Undersecretaries to the Government and HODs of various Government Departments attended the function.


Smt. Akshata Puranik Bhat compered the function.
