Calangute MLA Michael Lobo admitted that there was a serious problem of touts, haressing tourist in the coastal belt,
particularly in Calangute and said that he will be speaking to the chief minister to immediately crackdown on this issue and stop the touting activities in the village.
“The problems posed by touts, re bigger in Calangute and need to work together along with the police to tackle the menace posed by such individuals involved in illegal activities,” Lobo said
The Calangute MLA was speaking to reporters at the sidelines of the of a press conference to announce the all goa star competition
there may touts operating in Calangute alone, Lobo said adding that some dance bars operating in Calangute also need to be shutdown.
“He said the police are also inefficient to take action against any illegal activity as per the law.
