Irked over acute water shortage problem for the past many days, the villagers of Siolim Marna and Sodiem took a protest to the PWD office at Mapusa and also threatened to protest.
The villagers along with the panchas of Siolim-Marna and Sodiem-Siolim Panchayats demanded with the PWD to regularise water supply within two days, failing which, they will block the road. The villagers claimed that the water supply is a major issue in Siolim Constituency as a result, they are facing hardship. The issue of irregular water supply in Siolim, especially during the past many days, even after making several requests, is not revolved.
