A private helicopter landed the GTDC parking area at Baga on Thursday afternoon, sending tourists and locals in the area into a tizzy.
the place where the helicopter landed within the GTDC parking area was barricaded off with ropes since the morning and the helicopter landed at around 3.30pm and took off again soon after.
Calangute Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira said the panchayat was not informed and he was not aware if any authority had given permission for the aircraft to land.
He said that eyewitnesses informed him that the helicopter did not have any markings. “I’ve been told a woman came out and the helicopter was there for one hour” he said
Sequeira said that may be it was a test flight because they’re planning to start helicopter rides.
