GOA PRADESH YOUTH CONGRESS TRAINING 2023
You have an empty playground; make best use of this opportunity: BV Srinivas
PANAJI
Indian Youth Congress (IYC) President BV Srinivas on Monday asked Goa Pradesh Youth Congress (GPYC) President Joel Andrade and his team to make the best use of the opportunity of playing on an empty ground, during his closing address at the Buniyadi Training session organised by the Goa Pradesh Youth Congress and conducted by the Indian Youth Congress at the International Centre, Dona Paula, Goa.
“Joel, you and your team have an empty playground to play on. Very rarely will you all get this opportunity. It is my advice to make the best of this. The performance of all office bearers – from the booth committee – will be regularly monitored. Please do not make this unit a parking lot for you. Non-performing office bearers will be asked to go home. Your Pradesh Youth Congress President Joel has my full support. We have a lot of expectations from Joel and his team, and we are confident this unit will live up to all our expectations,” he said.
“I am very happy to see you all in large numbers after a very long time. I was supposed to come to Goa for your installation ceremony, but I couldn’t come at the last minute because Rahul Ji asked me to stay back for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. It is only because of this that I didn’t come and not because of any other reason,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Indian Youth Congress (IYC) National Incharge Krishna Allavaru congratulated the new team led by Joel Andrade, assured his full support, and asked them to take it as a challenge to win both the Lok Sabha seats in Goa.
“Congratulations to the new team. It is good to see many new faces. You all have a big challenge ahead of you – to win both the Lok Sabha seats in Goa, and this can be achieved only if we start working on strengthening our booth committees. Every booth worker’s performance will be monitored.”
Girish Chodankar said, “I know Joel Andrade as a baby. After seeing his leadership qualities at a very young, I requested him to be the Panaji Block President. He also won the Panaji Corporation elections in his first attempt and has now won the Goa Pradesh Youth Congress elections. This Youth Congress Election system that Rahul Gandhi launched was to create leaders like Joel. Joel has always supported us in many departments of our party. We saw energy, passion, and love for this party in him, and we are sure that this boy is an asset to our organization, and we will wholeheartedly support him. At a very young age, he has a habit of winning, and we will make use of it.”
IYC Secretary I/C Goa Richi Bhargava said that the Youth Jodo Booth Jodo campaign would be the focus of the GPYC unit and requested the team to work unitedly under the leadership of Joel Andrade.
Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Joel Andrade thanked the leadership for taking out time to participate in the Buniyadi Training session organised by the Goa Pradesh Youth Congress and conducted by the Indian Youth Congress. “My special thanks to our National Incharge Krishna Allavaru, our National President, and my elder brother BV Srinivas for specially coming to Goa to attend our training session. I also thank our Former AICC Secretary and PCC President Girish Chodankar, IYC GS Purnchandra Padhi, Pradesh Congress President Amit Patkar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Pradesh VP Sunil Kawthankar, Pradesh GSs Pradip Naik and Vijay Bhike, Pradesh Media Cell chairman Amarnath Panjikar, North Goa District President Virendra Shirodkar, and Elvis Gomes for attending our event.”
Joel also thanked the IYC GS, Santosh Kolkunda, and Chaitanya Reddy for conducting the training.
Earlier in the day, The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress launched the Hath Se Hath Jodo campaign in the presence of the leadership.
