*SMRC Hospital & Inner Wheel Club Vasco Come Together to Weigh in the Importance of Maintaining Healthy Skin & Hair*
In today’s era, it has been observed that the general population is unaware of the significance of maintaining healthy skin and hair. People frequently disregard their health which leads to multiple skin and hair conditions such as leprosy, vitiligo, psoriasis, eczemas, acne, hair loss, etc. These issues can lead to psychological stress and further have adverse effects if inappropriate treatment is offered due to a lack of knowledge.
Therefore, with an aim to educate people and promote a healthy lifestyle SMRC’s V.M Salgaocar Hospital in collaboration with Innerwheel Club of Vasco-Da-Gama, organized a Talk on the Importance of Maintaining Healthy Skin and Hair.
The talk was held on 9th February 2023 at Innerwheel Club, Vasco by SMRC’s Expert Dermatologist & Cosmetologist Dr. Preeti Savardekar.
Dr. Preeti discussed how in a world of increasing stress and sedentary lifestyle, having a healthy living has become an utmost priority. She also provided numerous tips and prevention measures for maintaining the health of skin and hair.
Dr. Preeti then emphasized how caring for one’s skin and hair health can lead to overall physical and spiritual well-being.
When asked about the purpose of having the talk and how it would benefit the people, Dr. Preeti replied, “The primary goal of this discussion was to help people understand the significance of having good skin and hair health. People are constantly busy with their work and they neglect to keep themselves healthy. As a result, we aimed to educate people about skin and hair health and the importance of it for increased productivity, confidence and overall well-being. Adults, in my opinion, must take care of their skin and hair to prevent future complications. Furthermore, we also discussed the treatments we offer at SMRC’s Panaji Clinic and how with the latest technology and expertise we can help them solve all their dermatological and cosmetological problems. The women present at the discussion were extremely attentive and listened to every word I said. I surely feel it has helped many to pause for a while from their busy life and think about their well-being.”
This talk drew a large crowd of female members. Dr. Preeti concluded by answering the audience’s queries and providing them with complimentary skin care products and supplements.The talk received an overwhelming response.
