Goa police veterans started the first half by keeping strong ball possession and the strikers made deep runs into the the defence of the sai veterans but despite keeping good ball possession the goa police veterans missed many chances and failed to score due to some good saves by the sai veteran keeper Sai veterans also missed namy chances due to some good defending by the goa police veterans and the first half ended with neither of the teams scoring
in the second half it full dominance again by sai veterans as their strikers found some great form and they tried make deep runs into the resilient defence of the goa police veterans but some rock solid defending by the defenders of Goa police thwarted their attempts on goal although the missed chances boosted the morale the sai players and they tried hard to score they eventually could not manage to find the back of the net and the match ended with none of the teams finding the goal the match had to be finally decided on tie breakers some good spot kicks by the sai strikers helped them get two goals while the goa police veterans managed to score only one again due to some good goal keeping by the sai veterans goal keeper. Sai veterans eventually won the match on tie breakers. Former player of calangute association Pradeep Raikar was the chief guest and gave away the man of the match award to rupesh kamat of goa police veterans
