The Bodgeshwar Shetkari Samiti from Mapusa has opposed Agriculture land ammendment bill. The Samiti alleged the bill was drafted with consent of Agriculture minister Ravi Naik.
according to the farmers association the government intends to snatch away the cultivated land through this bill. The provision to mortgage the field for farming loan has also been revoked in this bill and the tenanted farmers are also being harassed by landlords and they don’t allow them to cultivate the fields.

Addressing a news conference president of the Bodgeshwar farmers association Sanjay Barde said that there is no such provision for tenanted farmers to give them relief from monarchy of landlords,

. He further added that the ways leading to the fields at Mapusa are now blocked due to widening and beautification of road near Bodgeshwar temple.
speaking further he said that the farmers will now have to face hard time to sow their fields in absence of access.
