The De-silting works of nallah from Calangute-Saligao border upto Agarwaddo Calangute was undertaken by calangute panchayat after a gap of nearly 15years.
the works were launched by Calangute sarpanch Joseph sequeira in the presence of deputy sarpanch geeta Parab and others and others.
“We have been doing this work every year without fail much before the onset of the monsoons. This time also, the panh members have planned ahead and started the work without waiting for the last moment like it’s normally done elsewhere” Said sequeira while speaking to reporters
“Because of such pre-emptive and proactive de-silting work in the wards over these years, there will be no flooding in and around calangute constituency We are following up on all the developmental works which need to be carried out in the interest of our citizens’ comfort, convenience and safety.” said sequeira
