A rally was organised by Calangute Panchayat to spread awareness about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Around 50 students from Different schools of Calangute participated in Prabhat Pheri.
The rally was flagged off by calangute sarpanch Joseph sequeira along with deputy sarpanch geeta parab all the panch members and all the students, teachers and staff of various schools of calangute .
Speaking to reporters, deputy sarpanch Geeta parab said that such kind of rallies were a means of creating awareness about maintaining cleanliness
“We have taken up this rally to create awareness about swatch bharat abhiyan and also of keeping the village of calangute can be kept clean and green ” said sarpanch Josepeh sequeira and added that every individual panch member will have to see to it that their ward is kept neat and green
He further said that through such initiatives the panchayat is trying to create an awareness about how the village of calangute can be kept clean and neat through” said sequeira
