A flex board displaying a photo of the basilica of Bom Jesus Church with ‘Washroom’ written on top and a picture of Basilica of Bom Jesus below at the Mopa airport , has hurted the sentiment of the people, there should be a thorough inquiry conducted on it said calangute MLA Michael Lobo.
Lobo was speaking at the side-lines of the de-silting works of nullahs from linga bhat to Arpora river border .
When the agency which has done the work is not from Goa such errors are bound to happen as they don’t know the religious value of that religious structure so they have just put it there showing the direction towards the washroom and projecting the church being especially the basilica of Bom Jesus which is a wrong thing” said lobo
