In order to streamline the smooth flow of traffic along the Calangute coastal belt the village panchayat of calangute has taken up the work of constructing new traffic island at the Bodko-voddo junction in Calangute
an inspection of work was carried out by sarpanch of calangute Joseph sequeira, deputy sarpanch Geeta Parab, and the police officers from the traffic cell calangute
Speaking to reporters calangute sarpanch said that the inspection was carried out as that particular stretch of the road used to witness a lot of traffic congestion and had also become an accident prone zone so the panchayat took a decision that we should plan and find a solution to the problem and added that the panchayat also intends to make this place as a no parking zone also” said Joseph sequeira and further added that the panchayat will also put up high mast lamps along the stretch in another 8 to 10 days time
