Football enthusiast from reis magos village can now breathe a sigh of relief as the existing football ground is going be get a new modern look as the works of refurbishing of the ground commenced on Saturday
The works were inaugurated by Saligao MLA kedar Naik in the presence of sarpanch of reis magos sushmita Pednekar, manisha Bandodkar and others
This was a long pending demand that an playing turf had to be put up on the ground as elaborate seating arrangements were already in place but the ground was lacking in artificial playing turf making it difficult for the players so keeping this in mind the panchayat has taken up the works of laying of the turf by spending its own money and without using government fund and also through the support of MLA kedar Naik. the estimated cost of the works is around around 55 lakhs
speaking about the works MLA naik said that the next phase of the works will also include refurbishing of the seating arrangements an fitting of lawn for the benefit of the players so that the youth to come and play football ”
sarpanch Sushmita Pednekar said that a lot of works of the ground were pending mainly the works of fitting of grills and all the up gradation works of the ground will be taken on priority
MLA kedar naik said that the dream of a modern play ground has been finally fulfilled and the works and the now the works of putting up of grills and also laying of the lawn will be taken up of priority for the benefit of the people
