In a show unity and concern for their community’s well-being, residents of Abbaxio Vaddo in Verla-Canca, joined by Sarpanch Deepa Bicholkar and Ex-Sarpanch Laxman Bicholkar, gathered outside the Walke Restaurant near the washing center to voice their opposition to the installation of a mobile tower within a residential area. The tower was erected without considering the concerns of the local residents, who fear its potential impact on the nearby school children and residents.
Bytes Infratech Pvt. Ltd., a private company, installed the mobile tower on the private property of Mrs. Sharmila Sharmalkar, disregarding the potential health and safety risks associated with its placement. The residents believe that the proximity of the tower to the school poses a serious threat to the well-being of the children, as well as the general health of the community.
Speaking on behalf of the concerned residents, Sarpanch Deepa Bicholkar emphasized the need for urgent action from the government to address the situation. “We cannot afford to ignore the potential dangers posed by the mobile tower within our residential area. The health and safety of our children and fellow residents must be our top priority,” she asserted.
Ex-Sarpanch Laxman Bicholkar added, “We demand immediate intervention from the government to ensure that this installation is reconsidered and relocated to a more suitable location, away from residential areas. It is our right to live in a safe environment, and the authorities must address our concerns promptly.”
The residents have expressed their desire for the government to provide assurance that their concerns will be addressed and the mobile tower will be relocated promptly. They believe that by working together, they can ensure the well-being of their community and protect the future of their children.
In light of the ongoing opposition and concerns raised by the residents, it is hoped that the government will take swift action to assess the situation, engage with the stakeholders, and provide a resolution that prioritizes the health and safety of the residents.
The residents of Verla-Canca remain steadfast in their commitment to preserving the well-being of their community. Their unity and determination in this matter serve as a reminder that the voice of the people cannot be ignored, and the government must act responsibly to address their concerns
