After Winning the Enactus Global Race for Climate Change, Project SHRIMATI AIl Set to Make its Debut in Goa /xzora Pvt. Ltd. & EthernetXpress Pvt. Ltd. in association with Ministry of VWomen & Child Development- Goa, all set for the official launch of ‘Project SHRIMAT’, a biodegradable sanitary napkin, on 30th May, 2023 at Village Panchayat Hall, Sristhal, Canacona.
Project SHRIMATI, the flagship project of Enactus Jamia Millia Islamia aims to manufacture eco-friendly and reusable sanitary pads while creating awareness of menstrual health and hygiene. With bambo0 and banana fiber as the self engineered core materials, the plastic free Shrimati pads are made of three biodegradable layers. With a durability of 12 months, the product is sustainable, ensuring the health of our bodies and the environment.The project partners in Goa – Axzora Pvt Ltd and Ethernet Xpress India Pvt Ltd, in association with the Directorate of Women and Child Development, Government of Goa in association with ASSOCHAM, India, will be organizing the product launch of the SHRIMATI pads on 30th May, 2023. About 1200 reusable sanitary napkins will be distributed targeting the underprivileged section of the society while expanding the influence of the project in the southern state. The event, which will also commemorate the upcoming menstrual health day will be inaugurated at the hands of  Hon. Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Ramesh Tawadkar,and will be further attended by Smt. Sejal Gaonkar, Sarpanch Village Panchayat and Smt. Savita Tawadkar, Sarpanch Village Panchayat Painguin. Held at the Village Panchayat Sristhal, Canacona, Goa,the event will be a primary step towards delivering change in Goa. Through the two production units one in Goa and other in Delhi the project aims at providingstable employment and income to underprivileged Women. Axzora is an emerging IT firm creating an online platform for users to easily connect with localservice providers, while Ethernet Xpress is the leading Internet Service provider based in Goa.Among notable achievements like the National CSR award and successful menstrual awareness and Nukkad Natak sessions at Delhi, Project SHRIMATI also emerged as the winner of the 2022 Enactus GIlobal race for climate action at the Enactus World Cup.
