Brioche Bread & Butter Pudding
Love ole school nostalgic bread and butter pudding? This simple Brioche version takes it up a notch. It’s the perfect, easy dessert for a tea time treat on the weekend or a family meal and is delicious all by itself or when served with cream, custard or ice cream.
Made with brioche rather than a regular standard loaf, this is a lovely light toasted pudding with a crispy top and creamy centre. The orange zest adds a fresh and delicate flavour to the otherwise creamy dish.
To prepare ahead: the brioche and toasted nuts can be assembled in the buttered dish up to 6 hours ahead. pour over the custard 30 minutes before baking. leftovers will keep for a day in the fridge.
