A new konkani Bhakti video song, “Vithala Onthar tuje nanv” written by well known konkani lyricist Shri John Aguiar was released today on the occasion of Janmashtami at a simple function at Samrat Ashoka hall, Panjim at the hands of Former Legislator Shri Pravin Zantye.
Former Deputy Speaker Shri Shambu Bhau Bandekar, Smt. Renuka Desai and others were present.
The song is sung by well known vocalist Shri Akshay Naik. The Music composition/arrangement/mixing is also done by Shri Naik and recorded at Shree Mahalsa Recording studio, Savoi Verem. The DOP/Editing/Camera and drone piloting is done by Shri Uddhav Kerkar of Eye Click.
The 6.18 minute video has been entirely shot at Shree Vithobha Devasthan, Warad Patne, Gaunem Goa .The Music video will be uploaded on the You Tube channel of Shri John Aguiar and Shri Akshay Naik.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Pravin Zantye lauded the work of John Aguiar and Akshay Naik and said he loved the composition to the heart and felt that they should continue this good work and assured his full support in future endeavours.
Shri Bandekar appreciated the lyrics and the song and said that both John and Akshay deserve a pat on their back for this work which he felt was a social movement and deserves support and appreciation.
Smt. Renuka Desai said she felt proud because John Aguiar was her classmate while studying in Chowgule college, Margao. Akshay se said was a talented boy and has a bright future since he has an outstanding voice quality.
Singer and music composer Shri Akshay Naik said that they put mind body and soul in the songs and never compromise on quality and quantity. However, he said for such projects financial support is essential.
In his welcome address, Shri John Aguiar said people are appreciating our devotional songs which motivates us to take up further projects.
Well known poetess Smt. Kalika Bapat also spoke on the occasion. Adv. Harsha Naik compered the function and later proposed a vote of thanks.
