Minister for Art and Culture, minister Govind Gaude,  expressed his support for tribal community entrepreneurs, emphasizing that provisions for investment have already been made to help them will  improve their lives.

He was speaking  in the presence of  Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar at the  function at the inaugural Workshop cum Training on Entrepreneurship & Forest Rights Act, 2006 at a function jointly organized by the Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance & Development Corporation Limited, Tribal Research Institute, Goa, and the Directorate of Tribal Welfare at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda. also present were  President of UTTA,Prakash Velip, earlier Sanction orders and Forest Right Titles,

He  further stressed that persistence and perseverance are more important than formal education. Pointing out the young minds, he emphasized on creating job opportunities for the next generation rather than running behind the job.

tawadkar  encouraged the tribal population to take advantage of government schemes devised for their benefit. Tawadkar emphasized that tribal culture is an integral part of Goa’s identity and shared his vision of ensuring that no person remains unemployed in Cancona by 2030 through the Cancona vision and concept mission. He encouraged a positive outlook, highlighting that it’s the key to solving problems.

On the occasion, the Best SDLC Chairman and Forest Right Committee were felicitated in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the tribal community.

The event featured informative sessions on the Forest Rights Committee (FRC) by Shri Ajay Gaude, State level Nodal Officer FRC, Entrepreneurship by Shri Pravin Sabnis, and Marine Entrepreneurship by Dr. Lata Gaude, Assistant Professor at Goa University.
Deepak Karmalkar, Chairperson of the Goa Commission for SC/ST, Vasudev Gaonkar, Chairman of GSSTFDCL, Deepak Desai, Additional Collector of South Goa, Vishwas Gaude, President of Gomantak Gouda Maratha Samaj, and others, graced the occasion with their presence.
Shankar Gaonkar, Director of Tribal Research Institute, and Managing Director of GSSTFDCL, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Shri. Umesh Kholkar served as the program’s compere, while Shri. Dasharath Redkar, Director of Tribal Welfare, proposed the vote of thanks.
