Faldessai urges children to explore career paths without fear
PANAJI: Cumbarjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai urged children to choose whichever career path they wish to pursue and not be afraid of the pressures that they will face on account of their choices.
Speaking during a Students’ Felicitation Function organised by the Karmali Corlim Multipurpose Co-op Society Ltd, Faldessai, who is the local MLA said that he would extend all help as necessary to the children who might need it and was hopeful that the children from his constituency earn flying colours.
“Children have to respect their parents, not go on the wrong path, if there is something you need help with. You can reach out to me directly. I want our children from our constituency to reach the top and come first,” Faldessai said.
“Don’t have to be doctors and engineers — there is a future in all fields. Give children freedom — don’t allow them to go on the wrong path, but give them the freedom to decide. Don’t put pressure on them — I will help you. I will help with funds if necessary. During covid I helped with mobile and laptop to help with online classes,” Faldessai said.
Faldessai said that he is only too happy to attend the felicitation functions organised to honour students who have done well, because he believes that children should be given encouragement and an incentive to do well.
“I am blessed. I am happy to hear about the felicitation of children. We have to encourage children. It always gives me joy to attend such functions more than any other functions,” Faldessai said.
He thanked the Co-op society for organising this function which they have been doing since 1963.
“I want to thank this organisation. In 1963, till today … It is no ordinary feat to be running this programme since then. We need to understand this. I am thankful, we have to learn from them how to keep this going for so long,” Faldessai also said.
