Leo Club of Calangute along with 35 students of Vidhyaniketan High School Calangute, Visited Garbage Treatment Plant at Saligao. The Visit included a small presentation by way of a video by Goa waste management on the plant and its features and Engineer (apprentice) Pranav Dessai explained the students on how waste (wet and dry )is brought segregated and disposed,both waste is also treated separately and used to make methane gas which runs Generators and produce electricity and the end product is used as Manure.
Snacks to students was also provided by Leo Club of Calangute. Leo Club Advisor & Zone Chairman MJF Lion Murtaza Mathernwala, Immediate Past President PMJF Lion Raies Ahmed, Past Leo District President Leo Suraj Lawande, Past Leo Club President Leo Sagar Lawande , Leo Member Leo Akram Ahmed and Teacher were present.
