On the occasion of teacher’s day, the Krishnadas shama central library conducted an innovative approach of ‘mobile library’. Staff visited the Our lady of Rosary school Mandrem. The aim was to promote reading among the young children. On this occasion headmistress of Rosary school Mrs. Lucy Almeida, head of the Mandrem taluka library Mr. Abhimanyu Gawas were also present.
Reading assist intelligence and gives more confidence. Reading is very important in today’s competitive world. Or there is no other option rather reading. Once the intellect becomes smart we become a smart boy, said Mr. Dinesh Ekawade, librarian of Krishnadas shama central Library and the head of the mobile library.
He added that, today’s parents wants their child to be smart and in order to make them smart they provide them with all the smart gadgets like smart watches, smart TVs smart phones etc. But providing such a gadgets does not necessarily bring smartness to children. For that matter, one must develop their interest and taste in reading. The more we read, the sooner our brains become smarter and once the brain becomes smart our son will surely be a ‘smart boy’, Ekawade motivated.This program was coordinated Mr. Avelino Fernandes, librarian of Rosary school who took special efforts for the success of this program.
