according to calangute police on 11.10.2023 Calangute Police Station has received information from reliable sources that online gambling activities are being carried out in one closed premises at Calangute market area.
so Accordingly a Police Team headed by Police Sub Inspector Shri Kiran G Naik was constituted and conducted a gambling raid on the said premises and caught red handed one Ajay Kumar s/o Mannoolal, age 32 years r/o Tiskar Porvorim Bardez Goa n/o Uttar Pradesh and also seized gambling material all worth Rs. 42,000/- including cash amount of Rs. 1,500/-.
An offence u/s 3 & 4 of Public Gambling Act stands registered and the accused Ajay Kumar was placed under the arrest after observing all Supreme Court guidelines.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Shri Paresh G Naik and SDPO Porvorim Shri Vishwesh Karpe under the overall supervision of SP North Shri Nidhin Valsan, IPS Police Team consisting of PSI Kiran Naik, PC-6118 Amir Garad & PC-6644 Vijay Naik, did excellent job
