Moga spreads his love at Dhempe college

Goa, October 20th, 2023: Students of Dhempe College of Arts and Science were thrilled to meet Moga, the official Mascot of the 37th National Games, during a special interaction held on the campus.

Students were informed about the various sporting disciplines that will be held and were
given an overall perspective of the venues across the state.
Rachel and Salika, third-year English students of the college, expressed delight that the Games were being conducted in the state. When asked how it feels to witness the National Games in Goa, Rachel said, “It’s the first time that such a big sporting event is being held in Goa. We are excited to see what is going to happen during this event.” “We feel proud that the state is hosting this event in Goa, especially in the capital city, and this seems fun!” said Salika, cheerfully.
While Salika is interested in attending the badminton event currently underway at Taleigao, Rachel was excited to catch the basketball action. On the medal prospects for Goa, Rachel said, “We would be proud and happy to see Goa winning as many medals as possible. I think we have the potential to win as many medals as possible,” while Salika chipped in, “We do have a lot of Goan players, so definitely Goa has the potential to win
medals.” For first-year arts students of Dhempe College, Umur Vani and Vijesh Khandeparkar, witnessing the Games is a unique opportunity.

“I feel it’s a proud moment for the whole of Goa. It will be a big opportunity for Goans to showcase their talent. I’ll be attending the football matches as I have been playing the sport since the age of 12 and that’s my passion. I am rooting for Goa to win medals in all the disciplines!” he said.

Khandeparkar said that he will be attending the kabbadi and yoga matches. “Kabbadi is my favourite sport, and I practice yoga so I understand the discipline. I am sure Goa will win more than 10-15 medals. I am a Goan myself so it’s a proud moment for all of us. It’s amazing and I am hoping for the
best!” he added.
