A two-day children’s music Conference Bal Sangeet Sammelan being organized on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th November in association with Keri Terekhol Area Development Welfare and Education Society (Pedne) Keri Gandharva College Examination Centre, New English High School and Directorate of Arts and Culture, Panaji Goa. .
At 8 o’clock in the morning, the children will march (Dindi) from the village deity Rawalnath Deva temple of Keri to the sammelan place at the school. The musical conference will be inaugurated in the hands of Jeet Arolkar, MLA Mandre constituencies. Senior journalist and dramatist Kishor Naik Gaonkar, Keri Village Sarpanch Dharti Nagoji and other dignitaries will be present on this occasion.
In the first session there will be a musical program of Swara Dhara and Swara Sadhana by the children of New English High School.
In the second session, at 11.30 am, there will be an musical program by excellent choirs from six schools in Goa. New England High School organized the All-Goa Inter-School Sugam Sangeet Competition this year for its golden jubilee year. The best performing schools will be given a chance to perform in the concert this time.
At 6.30 pm, the students of New English School will present Sangeet Matsyagandha drama. At this time Sarpanch of Mandre village Adv. Amit Sawant will present as chief guest.
On the second day 4th Nov at 5.30 pm, the closing ceremony will be attended by former Union Law Minister Adv Ramakant Khalap, Deputy Director of Arts and Culture Ashok Parab and other dignitaries. On this occasion also famous music artists from Keri will be felicitated at the hands of dignitaries. Then at 6.30 p.m. students of New English High School will present Sangeet Kakeyii Natak.
The organizers have appealed to parents, villagers and music lovers to attend the two-day music conference in large numbers.
