khaunte was speaking at the inaugration of the much awaited Deepotsav 2023 at Porvorim organised by the tourism department besides Khaunte also present on the dais were Penha de franca sarpanch swapnil chodankar, socorro sarpanch sonia Pednekar, ZP Kavita gupesh Naik, other panch members .. The event commenced with the lighting of lamps by the Tourism Minister, signifying the initiation of three days of cultural revelry and spiritual significance.

This year’s Deepotsav holds special reverence as it commemorates the legendary tale of Lord Krishna’s courageous triumph over the demon Narkasur. The festival aims to not only celebrate the rich cultural heritage but also to impart the profound teachings embedded in our mythology.
As part of the inaugural celebrations, a captivating cultural program titled “Deeprang” unfolded, featuring stellar performances by renowned artists. The audience was enthralled by the enchanting voice of former Sa Re Ga Ma little champ Mugdha Vaishampayan, along with the mesmerizing acts of Prathamesh Laghate and the comedic brilliance of Hasya Kalakar Bharat Ganeshpure.
