according to calangute police In a midnight raid conducted at Porbawado, Calangute-Goa, Calangute Police team comprising of PSI Akshay Parsekar, PC-6008 Manoj Naik, PC-6644 Vijay Naik, PC-6118 Amir Garad, PC-7904 Pranay Gawas and PC-
7917 Gaurish Karbotkar during which accused Shri. Deepend Singh S/o Suresh
Prasad Singh, Age-23 yrs, R/o, Naika Wado, Calangute, Bardez, Goa and native
of Mahdya Pradesh was found in illegal possession of narcotic drugs Ganja
weighing 820 grams worth Rs. 80,000/- approximately.
police further said that information was received by Calangute Police Station from the
sOurces that one male person will be coming to deliver narcotic drugs to his
prospective customers and is likely to leave the place after disposing off said
contraband. Accordingly a raid was conducted in presence of panchas and
above narcotic drugs was seized.
The accused person is being remanded to Police Custody in-order to find
out the source of above narcotic drugs. A complaint regarding illegal possession of narcotic drugs was filed by PSI Shri. Akshay Parsekar of Calangute P.S. upon which LPSI Miss Pragati Malik has registered the offence under NDPS Act 1985.
