Budget Session of Goa Legislative Assembly began on friday with the Governor receiving the guard of honour at the Assembly Complex, Porvorim.
the session would be held for six days i.e. on February 2, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10
Earlier, the Assembly session was scheduled to end on February 9 but it got extended in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the State on Tuesday,
The Assembly session commenced with with the the Governor’s customary address being the first session of New Year. Bills assented by the Governor will be be reported to the House while, Business Advisory Committee (BAC) report will be presented. Discussion on the motion of thanks to Governor’s address will be held for two days. The CM is also likely to present the Budget for 2024-25 on February 8.
In the financial business, the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will present the budget and Supplementary Demand and seek Vote on Account for the first four months of the next financial year. The government bills, including the Goa Appropriation Bill, will be presented during the session.
