Calangute: The receptionist of a guesthouse in Candolim who was involved for allegedly committing theft of a laptop, iPhone and one more mobile besides cash of Rs 40,000 was arrested by Calangute police late Friday evening
It may be recalled that this incident of theft had happened on January 13 where in Manoj Rajput, the driver of Renuka Inn Guest House, had lodged a police complaint in this matter. The suspected accused was working as a receptionist at the said guest house. Taking advantage of this, the suspect stole 40,000 cash from the reception, laptop, iPhone mobile and Realme mobile all worth 1 lakh the accused identified as Amit Jha had been absconding after allegedly committing the crime since January 13 and after a hectic search the calangute police finally managed to arrested him at Himachal Pradesh the accused was later produced in the court and has been remanded to three day police custody
