Verla canca villagers at their gram sabha held on sunday demanded for a football ground to be made available the villagers. Verla-Canca villagers urged the panchayat to verify ten- ants with the assistance of the police and ward-specific committees, and to submit its findings prior to the next gram sabha meeting.
the gram sabha was presided by sarpanch Aarti Chari along with deputy sarpanch Digambar Kalangutkar in the presence of the panchayat secretary.
During the meeting villagers raised various issues including illegal construction of bore wells and tube wells, roadside parking, construction and painting of speed breakers.
During the meeting the members also pointed out that due to personal differences between the panchayat members, many important issues could not be taken up for discussion.
Villagers also raised the issue of rented rooms and urged the panchayat to conduct tenant verification before next gram dab ha as nothing had been done by The panchayat
Villagers pointed to the names of individuals who have constructed more than 23 rooms and have given it on rent.
Villagers also demanded action against signboards which are erected without proper permission.
