Mapusa police have arrested two persons in Connection with theft at Bodgeshwar Temple in Mapusa,

according to Mapusa  police  on 28.02.2024 Security Guard Mr. Dasharath Thakur of Dev Bodgeshwar Temple, Bodgini, at 04.30 hrs  had  lodged his complaint that Two Unknown Males had  damaged the Donation box erected in premises of Bodgeshwar Temple and stole away cash from inside the Donation box.

In this respect, Mapusa Police Station Cr. No. 37/2024 U/Sec 379, 427 R/w 34 IPC registered. Further, as per instructions of Dy. SP Sandesh Chodankar, PI Nikhil Palekar constituted teams with instructions to collect the intelligence in respect of accused involved. Further, staff of Mapusa Police Station after thorough human and technical surveillance identified the Males and staff zero down Males at Mapusa Bardez, Goa within few hours Mr. Sagar Harichandra Shinde, aged 40 years N/o Bijapur, Karnataka presently R/o Bodgini, Mapusa, Bardez, Goa and Mr. Anand Shivaji Naik, aged 40 years N/o Hattagari, Belgavi, Karnataka presently R/o Bodgini, Mapusa, Bardez, Goa arrested on 28.02.2024 and recovered the stolen cash from the instance of both the accused.
