Shripad Naik on Tuesday hinted that he will quit from active politics and vacate the north Goa parliamentary seat in favour of youngsters in 2029.
While replying to a question, Shripad Naik hinted that the 2024 Lok Sabha election could be his last  election and while elaborating further Naik stated that he urged the party rank and file to hunt for an young candidate for 2029.
Present on the occasion, Goa BJP president, Sadanand Shet Tanavade, the deputy speaker of Goa Assembly, Joshua de Souza, x-MLA, Geln Ticlo, Calagute MLA, Michael Lobo, MMC president Dr Bichokar and other dignitaries from BJP.
Naik revealed  that  Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is to see the country climb from economy’s 5th position to 3rd position and elevate crores of people reeling below poverty line to above poverty line and efforts are on to ask people their suggestions and then include them in a manifesto and in this regard they were distributing manifesto cards to each and every hous holds.
After the media briefing, Mr Shripad Naik met the Mapusa traders body and gave patient hearing and assured them to resolve their genuine demands
