A fire broke out at Mia Khatib’s house in Grand Peddem, mapusa

Mapusa : A fire broke out at Mia Khatib’s house in Grand Peddem, mapus , causing an estimated loss of around 5 to 6 lakhs some cash was gutted in the fire . The owner of the house has expressed suspicion that there is an accident behind this accident. The accident happened around 12.52 pm on Friday.
On getting information about the incident, Mapusa fire brigade and police rushed to the spot during the incident the house was closed. So the firemen broke the door of the house and brought the fire under control by spraying water. Meanwhile, Khatib’s family returned home as soon as they came to know about this incident. In this accident, two rooms of the house were completely burnt along with the contents. Fire fighters saved other homes.
Cash of around Rs. 25 thousand and other valuables were burnt in the cupboard of the burnt room. But the gold ornaments were saved by the fire brigade. Around 5 to 6 lakh rupees have been damaged including furniture, clothes, roofing and other materials in the house.
Meanwhile, there is suspicion of accident behind this accident. Khatib’s family has expressed the suspicion that someone climbed on the house and started the fire. Mapusa police are conducting further investigation in this matter. Sahil Gawas, Nitin Chodankar, Praveen Naik Gaonkar, Jayesh Kanolkar and Praveen Pissurlekar brought the fire under the control under the overall supervision of Mapusa fire brigade deputy officer Prakash Kannaik.
