Screening of film brazil

.

Greetings from the Cinephile Film Club. This Thursday, 2nd May 6.30 pm, Sachin Chatte will host the screening of Brazil (1985, English,130 mins).

Directed by Terry Gilliam (of Monty Python fame), since its release in 1985, Brazil has become a cult film. With a Kafkaesque story, there are also parallels with George Orwell’s novel,1984. This dystopian black comedy, science fiction, and satire has Jonathan Pryce as a bureaucrat in a totalitarian state when a chain of events turns his life upside down. Right from the soundtrack to the production design, Brazil has influenced filmmakers from the Coen Brothers to Tim Burton. Sachin Chatte will host the screening of Brazil (1985, English,130 mins).
