Enriching Trek to Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary’s Ukaichee Khadee This Sunday, June 30, 2024
Panjim, June 28, 2024 – The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) will be arranging the second Sunday Monsoon Trek of the season, heading to the stunning Ukaichee Khadee on June 30, 2024. This picturesque seasonal cascade is located near Kumthad village, just 10 kilometers from Valpoi in Sattari taluka.
Trekkers will commence their journey from Sanvordem, embarking on an approximately 4.5-kilometer trek through rubber plantations, semi-forested areas, and running rivulets. The trek includes a thrilling river crossing, culminating at the serene Ukaichee Khadee. Participants can look forward to exploring the forest, relaxing by the cascade, and enjoying the natural beauty of the locale. The return journey offers an equally enriching and rejuvenating route.
This trekking expedition is open to all, especially those with a spirit of adventure and a love for nature. The cost of the trek will be ₹1200 per person including transportation arrangements from Mapusa and Margao at 7:00 AM and from Panjim at 8:00 AM, with pick-up points at Old Goa, Banastari, Sakhali, and Verna Junction. Participants will also be provided with a delicious lunch and are recommended to carry an extra pair of clothes, rainwear, trekking shoes, drinking water, snacks, and binoculars.
