Today, August 12 being the death anniversary, the prominent citizens, respectable dignitaries, lovers, well wishers and politicians who visited to pay their respect at his samadhi were shocked and surprised to discover the samadhi is just left carelessly to its faith as the nature has its own way to take the toll.
Its pillars have formed cracks, its roof- top has formed cracks,broken and is leaking, its cement coats are falling and it conveys a very bad message to the visitors.
It shows as if the caretakers have just abandoned it to crumble.
Imagine the plight of the first chief minister’s samadhi lying deserted and abandoned to the nature who served this state for decades. Our Power minister, Sudhin Dhavlikar who is elected on MG party and makes statements that he respects Bhausaheb Bandodkar.
Now, the death anniversary has passed away by just garlanding the statues everywhere and making speeches, statements and praising Bhau Saheb but the question before the public is ”will the authorities concerned at least now wake up and do the needful on time and save the statue from crumbling.?”
During peak tourists season, domestic as well as foreign tourists come to visit after reading the Samadhi of first chief minister of Goa and even click photographs.
