shop selling Pizza in porvorim has removed advertisement depicting Lord Ganesha as a ‘pizza delivery boy’
Panaji, Aug 30 La Pinoz Pizza, an establishment in porvorim , which distributes pizza at home, has removed an ironic advertisement depicting Lord Ganesha as a ‘pizza delivery boy’ and replaced it with a good picture of the new Lord Ganesha. The satirical ad has been removed following a publicity campaign by The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
In the backdrop of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi, the entrance of the shop at Parvari of the concerned establishment had a picture of Shri Ganesh in the form of wearing pants and shirt. After noticing this, a delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) met the owner of the establishment, Komal Singh and pointed out that the advertisement had mocked Lord Ganesha and hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. He was also informed about how the idol should be according to Hindu scriptures. Owner of the shop Komal Singh said he was also informed about how the idol should be according to Hindu scriptures and said that the advert was published unintentionally.
