Two Arrested for Duping Vasco Resident of ₹11.6L in Stock Trading Scam
Vasco, Goa – 27th sept: The Cyber Crime Cell of Goa Police has arrested two Maharashtra natives for allegedly duping a Vasco resident of ₹11.6 lakh on the pretext of high returns from stock trading.
According to police the Scammers from Maharashtra promised unusually high returns into providing high returns from stock trading where in the Victims lost ₹11.6 lakh in stock trading scam the Cyber Crime Cell cracked case within 48 hours
The victim, a 35-year-old businessman, was approached by the scammers on social media. They promised returns of up to 50% per month and convinced him to transfer ₹11.6 lakh into their bank account.
“We have arrested two individuals from Maharashtra for cheating a Vasco resident,” said Superintendent of Police (cyber crime , Goa Police. “The accused promised high returns on stock trading investments, but it was a fraudulent scheme.”
The Cyber Crime Cell tracked the accused through digital evidence and arrested them within 48 hours. Police recovered incriminating documents and electronic devices.
