INAUGURATION OF INDIA’S FIRST AUTOMATED VACUUM SEWER NETWORK PROJECT

Panaji, Goa – October 15, 2024 Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant on Tuesday inaugurated India’s first “Automated Vacuum Sewer Network Project” at Mala, Panaji, under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) ¹. This groundbreaking project marks a significant milestone in Goa’s journey towards modernization and sustainable urban development.
The Automated Vacuum Sewer Network Project aims to provide a state-of-the-art sewage management system, ensuring efficient and environmentally friendly waste disposal. This initiative is aligned with the government’s vision of creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier India.

KEY FEATURES OF THE PROJECT include Automated Vacuum Sewer System: A cutting-edge technology that reduces energy consumption and minimizes waste overflow Advanced Sewage Treatment Plant: Ensures treated water meets international standards for reuse and discharge and Real-time Monitoring System: Enables efficient tracking and management of the sewage network.
