RESPICON GOA 2024: Experts Discuss Latest Advances in Respiratory Medicine
Panaji, Oct 20: The Association of Chest Physicians of Goa (ACPG), in collaboration with the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Goa Medical College, organized RESPICON GOA 2024, a state-level conference on respiratory medicine, at the Goa Medical College Library auditorium on Sunday.
The conference brought together 41 delegates, including senior chest physicians and postgraduate students, to discuss the latest developments in respiratory medicine.
Eminent experts, including Dr. Pravin Bhat, Dr. Lalita Fernandes, and Dr. Sanjivani Keny, delivered keynote addresses on topics such as Forced Oscillometry Test, research methodology, and MDR TB management.
A panel discussion featuring Dr. Durga Lawande, Dr. Uday Kakodkar, Dr. Vivek Prabhudesai, and Dr. Govind Desai sparked insightful discussions.
Dr. Lamartine DaCosta, retired Associate Professor, Department of Respiratory Medicine, Goa Medical College, was the chief guest.
In a special felicitation ceremony, Dr. Anthony Menezes Mesquita, ex-Professor & Head, Department of Respiratory Medicine, Goa Medical College, was honored for his lifetime contributions to respiratory medicine.
Eleven postgraduate students presented their research work, with Dr. Swapnil Solanki securing the first prize, Dr. Vidya S winning the second prize, and Dr. Laqusha Naik and Sona CM sharing the third prize.
