Heritage First Festival Celebrates Goa’s Rich Legacy
Panaji, November 2024 – Get ready to explore Goa’s built, natural, and cultural heritage like never before! The inaugural Heritage First Festival, initiated by Heritage First Goa, will commence on November 15. This unique event aims to promote awareness, education, and community empowerment through 32 curated walks and workshops.
The festival features 32 walks and workshops led by 27 domain-expert curators, or ‘pilots’, who will provide in-depth knowledge about Goa’s heritage. The events are categorized into four sections: Built Heritage, Nature & Biodiversity, Arts & Crafts, and Workshops. The festival will cover locations across North and South Goa, from Morjim to Rachol
“We aim to instill a new appreciation for familiar places and celebrate Goa’s unique culture, agricultural practices, architecture, and art,” said Heta Pandit, Co-Founder, Heritage First Goa.
“The festival will showcase talented individuals sharing their stories and experiences,” added Jack Ajit Sukhija, Co-Founder and President, Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG).
