55th International Film Festival of India Set to Captivate Audiences in Goa”
Panaji: The 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is just around the corner, and film enthusiasts are in for a treat! Scheduled to take place from November 20 to 28, 2024, in the stunning state of Goa, this year’s festival promises to be a cinematic extravaganza.
The festival will showcase diverse narratives, innovative voices, and foster cultural exchange. A press conference was held at the IFFI Media Centre, attended by esteemed guests, including Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa, Smt. Delilah Lobo, Vice Chairman of the Entertainment Society of Goa, Shri. Prithul Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Managing Director, NFDC, Ms Vrunda Desai, Joint secretary of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Ms. Smita Vats Sharma, Director General, PIB, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and senior officials from PIB and ESG.
IFFI 2024 has received an impressive 1032 entries in the Country of Origin (CMOT) section, surpassing last year’s 550 entries. The festival will feature a range of films, including Indian and international productions, and will provide a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work.
