GIANTS GROUP OF TIVIM ORGANIZES SAHASTRA DEEPOSTAV PROGRAMME
Tivim, November 18, 2024: The Giants Group of Tivim successfully organized the Sahastra Deepostav Programme at the MahaGanapati Temple in Madel Tivim on November 18, 2024. The event witnessed active participation from members of both Giants and Sahelis groups, who collectively placed 1000 diyas, making the programme a grand success.
The Diya lighting symbolizes the removal of darkness and ushering in light, signifying a life filled with happiness and prosperity. In Hindu culture, lighting diyas during the month of Kartik Masa is considered auspicious.
The villagers appreciated the programme and requested the Giants Group to continue organizing it annually.
The Sahelis of Tivim, including Smt. Shreya Sawant, Smt. Padma Purumu, Smt. Karuna Sawal, Smt. Lata Pujari, Smt. Shanta Hudedgaddi, Smt. Kavita Raikar, and Smt. Sujata Revankar, deserve special credit for the programme’s success.
Temple Committee President Shri Ghanshyam Aroskar inaugurated the programme in the presence of Shri Keshav Raikar, President of Giants Group of Tivim, former Sarpanch Shri Arjun Aroskar, and Shri Gajanan Talvnekar, President of Giants Group of Porvorim.
Shri Ghanshyam Aroskar addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude for organizing the beautiful programme. Shri Keshav Raikar welcomed the gathering and thanked the Temple Committee for providing the opportunity.
Past President of Giants Group of Tivim, Shri Sudhir Revankar, also expressed happiness about the programme.
Prominent attendees included Past President of Fed 10, Shri Basavaraj Pujari, Rajeev Kadam, Prashant Parab, Satishchandra Paste, President of Faj Colony Welfare Association, Shri Rameshwar Naik, and G.G. Panaji member Shri Rohidas Vaigankar. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Kishor Sawal.
