Shri Shantadurga Vidyalaya Unveils New Playground on Founding Day”
The inauguration of the new playground of Shri Shantadurga Vidyalaya’s primary section in Pernem took place on November 11, coinciding with the school’s founding day. The event was graced by Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, President of Pernem Gramseva Mandal and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, who inaugurated the new playground. The playground was sponsored by businessman Shri Saji Desai.
Prominent guests present at the event included Shri Saji Desai, Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, MLA of Canacona constituency, Shri Prakash Naik, Secretary of Pernem Gramseva Mandal, Shri Pratap Parab, Treasurer, Shri Gurudas Gadkar, Headmaster of the primary section, Shri Umesh Naik, Headmaster of Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Shri Sanjay Shetye, former Zilla Panchayat member, Shri Premanand Kalangutkar, President of Shantadurga Parents Teachers Association, and Shri Sanjiv Gavas, President of the primary section’s Parents Teachers Association.
During the program, Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade expressed his commitment to providing quality education in rural areas, stating, “We are trying to bring good facilities available in city schools to rural schools, which will help students grow better and enhance the school’s reputation.”
Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, an alumnus of the school, expressed his pride and happiness at the school’s progress, wishing for its continued growth and success.
The program was hosted by Shri Vasudeva Shetye, a teacher at the school, and concluded with Shri Gurudas Gadkar expressing gratitude to the esteemed guests present.
