DRISHTI MARINE LIFESAVERS SAVE THE DAY: MULTIPLE RESCUES AND REUNIONS ALONG GOA’S COASTLINE
Panaji, December 2024: In a dramatic series of events, Drishti Marine lifesavers sprang into action to rescue multiple tourists and reunite six missing children with their parents along Goa’s coastline over the weekend.
The most shocking incident occurred at Benaulim beach, where a 60-year-old man from Karnataka was brutally attacked by three stray dogs. Drishti Marine lifesavers rushed to his aid, administering first aid to his injured leg before handing him over to medical personnel.
Meanwhile, at Betalbatim beach, a 21-year-old man from Rajasthan was rescued by lifesaver Sarvesh Gaonkar after he got caught in a strong current while attempting to return to shore on a bodyboard.
In another daring rescue, two Russian tourists were saved from a rip current off Baga beach by Drishti Marine lifesavers. The beach also witnessed the rescue of a 33-year-old man from Ahmednagar, who was caught in a rip tide.

At Calangute beach, a 32-year-old person from Madhya Pradesh was saved from drowning by lifesaver Rohit Hirnayak. Additionally, an eight-year-old from Hubli was reunited with his parents by Drishti Marine lifesavers after he accidentally strayed onto the beach.
Candolim Beach witnessed the emotional reunion of two children, aged five and 11 years, from Chhattisgarh, with their parents after they went missing.
Drishti Marine lifesavers have once again demonstrated their bravery and quick thinking in saving lives and reuniting families along Goa’s coastline.
