Kilowott Outreach Event Empowers PCCE Students with IT Industry Insights
Panaji, December 2024: Students of the Verna-based Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (PCCE) gained valuable insights into the IT industry and its career opportunities during a recent outreach event conducted by Kilowott, a leading IT company based in Porvorim.
The event, organized as part of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Kilowott and PCCE, aimed to familiarize third-year engineering students with recent developments in the IT universe and provide practical advice for navigating the rapidly evolving sector.
Kilowott officials Kirk Duarte and Sandra Mascarenhas led the outreach session, sharing their experiences in the IT field and offering a detailed look into software development, essential skills, and growth trajectories for fresh graduates.
Mascarenhas emphasized the importance of dedication, skills, and continuous learning for success in the IT industry. “Today’s engineering students face an exciting world of opportunities, but it takes resilience and adaptability to thrive in an ever-changing job market,” she said.
Razia Sardinha, Training and Placement Officer at PCCE, expressed gratitude to the Kilowott team for visiting the campus and bringing valuable opportunities to the students.
Third-year engineering students who attended the outreach session praised the experience. “Kilowott showed us a bigger picture of the industry, revealing career paths that many of us didn’t know existed. I’m grateful for this experience and the guidance it provided,” said Simran, a third-year IT student.
