Goa Journalists Embark on Kerala Study Tour: Discover State’s Rich Heritage
A group of journalists from Goa recently embarked on a study tour of Kerala, exploring the state’s renowned tourist destinations, including Kochi, Alleppey, and Munnar.
During their visit, the group toured the Eravikulam National Park, a protected area and home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. They also visited the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, where they spotted various species of birds, including the Red Lory, Senegal Parrot, and Swanson’s Lory.
The journalists were also given a tour of a rubber plantation, where they learned about the production process and the importance of rubber as a major revenue earner for the region.
In addition to exploring Kerala’s natural beauty, the group also visited several famous temples, including the Sabarimala Temple, the Ayappa Temple, and the Murdeshwar Temple.
The study tour was attended by journalists Bharat Betkekar, Chandrahas Dabholkar, and Pravina Shirodkar among others.
The tour provided a unique opportunity for the journalists to experience Kerala’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, and to gain a deeper understanding of the state’s tourism industry.
