“Babreshwar Temple Introduces Donation Coupons for Banana Festival”
The Temple Committee of Dev Babreshwar Temple at Calangute has introduced special donation coupons as part of the Jatra, also known as the Banana Festival. The festival will be held on February 27th at the Babreshwar Temple in Calangute.
According to Babreshwar Temple Trust President Chandrakant Chodankar, this unique festival spans seven days, during which devotees visit the temple and offer bunches of bananas to Lord Babreshwar. The bananas are later auctioned, and the collected funds are used for temple maintnance.
“We have released donation coupons as 30% of the temple’s construction work remains incomplete, and we are facing a funding shortfall. We urge people to purchase these coupons and support our efforts.”
